The Iowa Central baseball team scored a convincing victory over Oakton Saturday and had to settle for a time-limit split in the second.
The Tritons won the first, 9-0, and were tied 4-4 when time expired. The games took place inside U.S. Bank Stadium, the home of the Minnesota Vikings.
In the opener, Devin Hurdle hit a home run and drove in three runs, with Derek Kay adding a double and two RBI in support of Jayden Maifeld.
Maifeld went six innings, striking out eight with four hits allowed.
Nic Anderson-Vine had two hits and Eduardo Noguera drove in two with a double in the second.
Nolan Johnson pitched four innings, striking out four with one earned run allowed.
Iowa Central (6-3 overall) takes on Southwestern Tuesday.
