Tritons take advantage of wind, plate 15

The 18th-ranked Iowa Central baseball team picked up a 15-13 victory over Southwestern here Wednesday.

Ryan Doran and Derek Kay each hit two home runs for the Tritons (7-2-1 overall), with Franklin Aparicio belting three doubles and driving in three.

Jack Thompson and Nic Anderson-Vine also went deep.

Doran drew two walks and drove in four, with Kay plating four runs and scoring three times.

Devin Hurdle also had two hits and Ben Detaeye scored twice.

Walter Long earned the win, striking out five over two-plus innings and Jace Davidson picked up the save.

Iowa Central heads to Mount Mercy to face Kishwaukee on Thursday in a doubleheader at 6 p.m.
