Tritons complete sweep of Bryant & Stratton

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The 20th-ranked Iowa Central baseball team stretched their current win streak to six in a row with another sweep of Bryant & Stratton here Sunday.

Scores were 13-3 and 10-0, with both games ending in five innings.

Gavin Baker, Max Holy, Jack Sievers and Riley Reed all had two hits with Baker, Holy, Ryan Wickman and Reed driving in two runs each.

Sievers scored three times and Baker twice for the Tritons (7-3 overall).

Easton Dermody pitched all five innings, striking out four and scattering seven hits. Iowa Central scored in all five innings of the game.

Jace Davidson, a former Pocahontas Area all-stater, tossed a two-hitter in the nightcap, striking out four with two walks allowed. The Tritons plated five runs in support of Davidson in the second inning.

Holy hit a home run and finished with five RBI, Baker was 3-for-3 with two runs and a pair of RBI with a stolen base, Nate Mortimer drove in two with two hits and Ben Gallaher had two hits and two runs.

The Tritons head to Missouri for a contest with NC Missouri on Thursday.
