Tritons come up short at Southeastern

WEST BURLINGTON - The Iowa Central baseball team was unable to get on track here Sunday, dropping a doubleheader to fifth-ranked Southeastern.

Scores were 10-0 and 5-0.

Max Holy and Derek Kay collected the lone hits for the Tritons (12-6 overall, 4-2 in ICCAC) in the opener while John Klein struck out four in four innings. Brock Sailer also had a strikeout on the mound and Kay a stolen base.

Ben Gallaher had two hits with Gavin Baker and Ben DeTaeye each recording one in the nightcap. On the mound, DeTaeye got the start, striking out six over seven innings of work.

These two teams play another doubleheader on Monday after weather pushed Saturday's games back a day.
