CENTERVILLE - The Iowa Central baseball team dropped a pair of games here Wednesday to conclude their regular season.
The Tritons fell to Indian Hills, 9-8 and 8-6.
Gavin Baker, Devin Hurdle and Alex Walsh each hit a homer in the opener, with Baker driving in three runs. Derek Kay had a triple, reached twice on walks, stole a base and scored two runs.
Jace Davidson and Jake Swanson each tossed perfect innings, with Davidson striking out a pair.
A five-run fourth gave Iowa Central a 6-1 lead early in the second game, but the Warriors rallied by scoring in each of the final four frames. Brock Johnson had two hits and Isaac Becker drove in a pair of runs with a triple.
Max Holy scored twice and also had a triple.
Iowa Central will now prepare for Saturday when the Region XI Tournament begins with a best-of-three series. The four winners from there advance to a double-elimination tournament set for May 14-16.
