Tritons take three of four in Millington

MILLINGTON, Tenn. - The Iowa Central baseball team made their second consecutive extended trip here this past weekend, winning three of four games.

The Tritons picked up wins over Rend Lake (11-2), Frontier (3-1) and UA Rich Mountain (7-3) around a loss to Southeast Nebraska (10-0). 

Max Holy drove in three and stole a base vs. Rend Lake, with Trey Morris collecting two hits and two RBI. Nick Baker had a pair of doubles and went 3-for-4 at the plate. Evan Borst earned the win, striking out five while James Jefferson had three strikeouts. 

John Klein showed his dominance once again, striking out five while allowing just two hits over six-plus innings. Matthew Wilkinson recorded a save while Brock Johnson had three hits and drove in a run vs. Frontier. 

Brett Sears earned another win on the mound, striking out seven over seven innings vs. Rich Mountain. Kai Reum came on for the save as Borst had three hits and drove in three. Jalen Martinez also had an RBI and scored twice. 

Iowa Central is scheduled to host Bryant & Stratton this weekend with doubleheaders set to begin at 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
