The 12th-ranked Iowa Central baseball team was unable to complete a series sweep of Ellsworth here Sunday at Ed Barbour Field.

After falling in the first two games Saturday, the Panthers picked up an 18-7 victory over the Tritons.

Jalen Martinez drove in three runs, scored twice and had a triple, while Cael Boyd stole two bases and scored a run. 

Max Holy, Brock Johnson, Trey Morris and Caleb Corbin each had an RBI. 

Ellsworth erased a 2-0 deficit with eight runs in the third and three more in the fourth. Iowa Central answered back with five in the home half of the fourth, but the Panthers put it away with a run in the seventh and three in the ninth.

Blake Davidson struck out four batters in relief. 

The Tritons return to action on Tuesday at North Iowa Area.
