Tritons sweep No. 12 Northeast

NORFOLK, Neb. - The sixth-ranked Iowa Central baseball team picked up a sweep of ICCAC foe and No. 12 Northeast here Tuesday.

Scores were 11-6 and 22-15.

In the opener, Jalen Martinez was a perfect 3-for-3 with a home run, an RBI and three runs scored for the Tritons. Brock Johnson had two doubles and drove in a pair, while Max Holy had a solo home run and scored twice.

On the mound, Tyler Olson earned the win. 

Caleb Corbin hit a grand slam and Holy went deep during a nine-run first inning in the nightcap. Corbin hit his second homer an inning later and Trey Morris added the first of his two homers in the same frame.   

Colten Becker and Isaac Becker added homers of their own, and Holy hit a second. 

Corbin finished 4-for-4 with seven RBI and four runs, Morris was 3-for-5 with three RBI and scored three times, and Holy drove in three and had three runs. 

Iowa Central heads to Council Bluffs to face No. 8 (Div. I) Iowa Western on Friday and Saturday for a three-game set.
