The Iowa Central baseball team walked away with a split vs. North Iowa Area here Tuesday at Ed Barbour Field.

After claiming the opener, 8-7, the Tritons dropped the nightcap, 15-10.

Brock Johnson and Evan Borst each had home runs in the first game, with both scoring twice. Nick Baker had two hits, including a double, and also scored twice with an RBI.

Kai Reum picked up the win on the mound and Matthew Wilkinson earned the save, striking out three batters.

The Tritons return to action on Thursday when they host Northeast in a nine-inning contest.
