Tritons explode with 48 runs in sweep

CRESTON - The 11th-ranked Iowa Central baseball team brought their A-game at the plate here Saturday, sweeping Southwestern.

Scores were 22-2 and 26-5. 

In the second game, Noah Susong hit three home runs, drove in nine and scored four times, finishing 4-for-5 at the plate to lead the way for the Tritons (33-12 overall, 14-8 in ICCAC). 

Max Holy also hit a homer in that game, driving in two with three runs, three hits and a stolen base. Caleb Corbin drove in three, had two hits and worked three walks. 

The opener saw the offense get going early, as Isaac Becker hit a home run and drove in four. Evan Borst had two hits, two RBI and three runs, with Brock Johnson recording two hits and two RBI, while scoring three times. 

Brett Sears and John Klein each picked up wins on the mound. 

These two teams square off back here on Sunday at noon.
