Baseball Stops Marshalltown

Michael Siemer had a homer and drove in three for the Tritons vs. Marshalltown

The Iowa Central baseball team drubbed Marshalltown at home on Saturday to wrap up a three-game sweep of the Tigers at Rogers Park, 20-7.

Harrison Bowman went 3-for-4 with a home run, three runs scored and five RBI to pace the Tritons (26-4 overall, 4-4 in the ICCAC). Michael Siemer homered, scored three times and drove in three, while Troy Berg was 2-for-2 with three runs scored and a pair driven in.

Jack Mausser also went deep and drove in four. Cooper Nicholson, Peter Johnson and Colin Richie left the yard as well for Iowa Central, which racked up six homers in all.

The Tritons plated six runs in the first inning, then blew the game wide open with an eight-run fifth.

Ryan Ohm (4-1) struck out eight in five innings to earn the victory.

Iowa Central hosts Iowa Lakes for a doubleheader on Wednesday. First pitch is set for 1:30 p.m.
