The sixth-ranked Iowa Central baseball team finished off a series win over North Iowa Area here Monday at Rogers Park, 10-6.

After splitting the two games this past Saturday, weather forced the finale of the three-game set to be postponed Sunday.

Iowa Central (30-5 overall, 8-5 in ICCAC) improved to 21-3 at home this season while recording its 23rd contest of the year with at least 10 runs scored.

A key six-run fourth broke the game open, as two more in the eighth would come across to provide insurance runs for Iowa Central.

Peter Johnson and Jake Busson each had two hits, with Johnson driving in three thanks to a home run. Busson had a pair of RBI.

Ryan Ohm earned the win, striking out eight over six-plus innings. CJ Bydrak picked up the save.

Iowa Central hits the road for a doubleheader on Wednesday at Norfolk, Neb. vs. Northeast. They are set to head to Cedar Rapids this weekend for a three-game set with ninth-ranked Kirkwood.
