The Iowa Central Baseball Team split a weather delayed ICCAC series with Southwestern Wednesday and Thursday.

The Tritons traveled to Creston for a scheduled doubleheader with the Spartans Wednesday, but rainy conditions forced the contest into Thursday, with game two being moved back to Harlan Rogers.

After falling 7-6 in Wednesday's opener, the fifth-ranked Tritons secured a16-0 victory on their home field Thursday afternoon.

Troy Berg had two RBI and a home run for the Tritons Wednesday. Cooper Nicholson also added a home run and an RBI.

In Thursday's game, the Tritons used a 14-run fifth inning to propel themselves past the Spartans, also scoring single runs in the second and fourth.

Will Smoot led the Tritons at the plate with five RBI and a home run. Jack Mausser added two RBI and a home run and Jake Busson also added a home run and one RBI. CJ Byrdak had the win on the mound, his fourth for the Tritons this season, while striking out four.

Iowa Central wraps up ICCAC regular season play with a Friday doubleheader and single game Saturday against Ellsworth at Harlan Rogers.
