ICCAC Athlete of the Week Honors for Giesen

Carter Giesen – Iowa Central – Freshman - RHP
Pitching two innings to start the season for the Tritons, Carter Giesen helped lead his team to a 10-1 win over Southwestern at home on Feb. 2 – maybe the earliest regular season game to ever be played outdoors in the state of Iowa in ICCAC history. The freshman from Lakeville, Minn. stepped up to the mound and struck out all six of the batters he faced in his two innings. A perfect start to the season Giesen and the Tritons will rest for 12 days before their next game where they will travel down to Millington, Tenn. to face off against Jefferson College on February 14.
