In 2021, the Tritons finished 35-23, including a 23-17 record in the ICCAC sparked by a 23-7 home mark. Iowa Central reached the finals of the Region XI Tournament. Four players were named to the all-Region XI team and Ryan Wickman earned ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove honors.

During the COVID-19 shortened 2020 campaign, the Tritons went 7-1-1. After starting the year in late February, the season was called off due to the coronavirus.

In Stein's first season at the helm in 2019, Iowa Central went 33-20 including a 19-9 conference record. They finished the year 12-1 at home. Eight Triton players were named all-Region XI.

Following the 2005 campaign, Stein was named Region XI Defensive Player of the Year. He would finish his career at Grand View University.

Stein and his wife, Kelsey, reside in Fort Dodge with their two children.
