Congratulations to the Iowa Central Dance Team. They competed at the ISDTA State Championships in Des Moines on December 1^st in the Community College Hip Hop, Pom, and Jazz categories. They competed against 5 other teams in hip hop and returned home with a 1^st place state title in that division, 3 other teams in Pom and received another 1^st place state title, and 4 other teams in Jazz and was awarded a third 1^st place state title in that division.

The dance team has been the state champion in the pom division consecutively for the last 5 years and jazz for the last 11 years! Such a huge accomplishment for this dance program.

The dance team worked extremely hard this past fall semester and is definitely deserving of the "clean sweep from the State competition. There are 18 members of the dance team and are under the direction of Head Coach Lesa Dencklau and Assistant Coach Cassidy Vermeer.
