NDA College Nationals

NDA College Nationals

Congratulations to the ladies of the Iowa Central Dance Team! They just returned home from the NDA College Nationals with a 3rd place finish in the Junior College Team Performance Division. NDA is one of the largest cheer and dance nationals for colleges in the world. The best of the best dance teams compete there and it is a huge honor and privilege to be able to say that the Iowa Central Dance Team is also competing at that same elite level. Not only does the dance team compete at the state and national level but they also have a huge presence at football games and basketball games to encourage game day spirit. There are 16 ladies that represent the competitive dance team and are coached by Head Coach Lesa Dencklau and Assistant Coach Cassidy Vermeer. The dance team and coaches spend countless hours rehearsing to perfect their national's routine for 3 whole months and to say their time and effort paid off in Daytona Beach this year is an understatement. Bringing home a 3rd place national title and scoring the highest in school history is something they are very proud of not only for themselves but also as a way to represent Iowa Central as an institution in such a positive light. If you see any of the dance team members or coaches around campus, please make sure to give them a huge congratulations. They have appreciated all of the support, good luck's, prayers and congratulations so incredibly much!
