Mario Sanders' Week 1 performance was in the conversation for Offensive Player of the Week. He had just shy of 100 yards and caught a touchdown. This week, in a 30-20 comeback win over No. 5 Garden City, it was no question who the OPOW was. Sanders had six catches for 106 yards, with three of them touchdowns. He hauled in a 24 TD to start the game, and was on the receiving end of two more to put the game at 20-14, then tied the game at 20-20. This season Sanders has 12 catches for 201 yards and four scores. Iowa Central moved up to No. 5 themselves this week and faces No. 1 Hutchinson at home on Saturday.
