Iowa Central continues to feed the ball to Mario Sanders. The freshman receiver picked up his third Offensive Player of the Week honor this week as he racked up a season-high 13 catches for 100 yards and another touchdown. That gives him 41 catches on the season, the most in the nation, along with 611 yards, also the most in the NJCAA. His eight touchdowns are second-most. In 2023 he has gone for 100 yards in four of five games, and has a touchdown in all but one game. The Tritons have the week off before facing 0-4 Coffeyville next on October 7.
