Gavin Blomberg enters his fourth season as tight ends coach and assistant offensive Line coach. Blomberg was a part of an offensive staff that was ranked No. 6 in the nation in total yards. His expertise at the center position helped Jacob Cato have a great sophomore season and move on to NCAA Div. II Arkansas Tech. He also coached Trey Winters, who became ICCAC all- region in 2019. Before making his way to Iowa Central, Blomberg started at right guard and center on the offensive line at Ellsworth Community College in 2017.

Blomberg, a native of Minneapolis, MN., started his collegiate football career at Ellsworth Community College (Iowa) before transferring to Iowa Central Community College to pursue a career in coaching.

He graduated from Providence High School in Minneapolis where he was a dominant offensive lineman, becoming an Blue-Grey All-American and an All-State first-team honoree his senior year.

In Blomberg's free time he enjoys spending time with his family and friends back home in Minnesota.

He graduated from Iowa Central Community College with an AA in Criminal Justice and is pursuing a BA in Criminal Justice from Metropolitan State in St. Paul, MN.
