Mitch Buhler is entering his third season on staff here at Iowa Central Community College. This will be his second-year coaching quarterbacks for the Tritons. 

As quarterbacks coach, Buhler helped guide Demarcus Irons Jr. to a productive freshman season where he led the NJCAA in QB efficiency while being named the 2019 ICCAC Offensive Player of the Year and a member of the NJCAA honorable mention All-American Team. In his first year at Iowa Central, Buhler coached the wide receivers where the program saw four players move on to Div. I FBS programs.  Emmanuel Greene (Univ. Of New Mexico) and Rashad Witty (Morningside) were named first 2018 all-ICCAC offense while Carlton Todd (Univ. of Buffalo) was named 2018 ICCAC honorable mention all-ICCAC.

Buhler spent the 2016 and 2017 seasons as the graduate assistant running backs coach at Northeastern State University in Oklahoma. Prior to that, he spent the 2015 season at Washburn Rural High School in Kansas as an offensive assistant coaching quarterbacks.

Buhler played at Washburn University in Kansas from 2011-2014 where he was a three-year starter and team captain at quarterback. He graduated from Washburn in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology.  He then went on to get his Masters of Science degree in Health and Kinesiology from Northeastern State in 2018.

He is the son of Steve and Shelly Buhler and has two siblings Matt (brother) and Maura (sister).
