On Friday afternoon, Iowa Central faced off against #12 Moberly Community College of Missouri. In a back and forth battle for the first 30 minutes, ultimately the depth and size of Moberly wore down Iowa Central in a 102-80 defeat. "For the first 30 minutes, we battled and went toe to toe. But the last 10 minutes, they just wore us out. They are a good team, but I think we are a good team too," said Dennis Pilcher, head coach of Iowa Central. "I thought we did a good job against their zone defense and an exceptional job against their press. We took care of the ball which allowed us to stay in the game. Their shooter got hot in the second half and really hurt us. But overall, we got better in this game."

Once again, a quick start by the Tritons helped them jump out to a 49-25 halftime lead which grew up to 43 at one point in the second half. "Playing our second game of the day, we did a great job of coming out and jumping on Sauk Valley. They are a difficult team to play due to so many different zones and then guarding the flex offense. But I thought we did a good job on the offensive end of moving the ball, taking good shots which allowed us to get back on defense and set up," said Dennis Pilcher, head coach of Iowa Central.
