Marshalltown beats Iowa Central

Iowa Central men's basketball lost a tough one on Wednesday night to Marshalltown by a score of 91-84 inside Hodges Fieldhouse. In a tight game for most of the way, Iowa Central had the ball and down 3 with under 20 seconds to play but missed a three point attempt to tie it. Marshalltown hit their free throws down the stretch to secure the win on the road. "Little things tonight is what hurt us. Missed layups and free throws were the difference. And for the most part, we have been pretty good this year at the free throw line but tonight was a different story. We played a lot better in the second half. I thought we were on the attack mode in the second half more. We need to continue to be there way." Said Dennis Pilcher, head coach of Iowa Central. "We just need to be more consistent on both ends of the floor."
