The Iowa Central men's basketball team dropped to 1-1 on the year with a 76-61 setback to Marshalltown Tuesday night inside Hodges Fieldhouse.

The Tritons battled back for much of the second half, but 31 turnovers that resulted in 34 points was too much. 

Julian Barr led the way for Iowa Central, scoring 11 points off the bench. Ayris Abdelnassar, Andrew Gibb and D'Monte Gaw each chipped in with 10. Abdelnassar and Jeremiah Hurst grabbed five rebounds each, with Abdelnassar dishing out five assists. 

The Tritons shot 48 percent from the field and made five 3-pointers. 

Next action for Iowa Central will be this Friday and Saturday when they travel to Norfolk, Neb. for the Northeast Classic.
