Tritons split at DMACC Classic

BOONE - The Iowa Central men's basketball team split a pair of games at the DMACC Classic.

The Tritons fell to Morton College, 78-62, but rebounded with a 119-42 victory over County Upper Academy.

In the loss to Morton, Andrew Gibb and Marquis Henry each scored 15 points. Javonte Keck and D'Monte Gaw added six, with Gaw grabbing six rebounds.

Iowa Central scored 68 points in the first half vs. County Upper Academy as Julian Barr finished with a career-high 28 points. Barr hit six 3-pointers as the Tritons shot 58 percent from the field and knocked down 16 triples. 

Simon Brathwaite recorded a double-double, scoring 17 points with 10 rebounds and five assists, Sam Glenn scored 13 points, Gibb added eight and Arthur Weston Jr. had 10. 

Next action for Iowa Central will be this Friday at home against Northeast.
