CRESTON - After opening 2020 with a tough loss to Kirkwood on Wednesday, the Iowa Central men bounced back here Saturday, besting Southwestern, 83-78.

Five Triton players reached double figures in scoring, led by 20 from Marquis Henry. Henry knocked down six 3-pointers and also had six rebounds with two steals.

Andrew Gibb and Zack Foulks recorded 16 points each, with Gibb adding five rebounds and three assists. 

Jeremiah Hurst registered a 12-point, 8-rebound day, while Ayris Abdelnassar had 11 points, five rebounds and four assists. 

As a team, Iowa Central shot 51 percent from the floor and sank 14 triples. 

The Tritons host Little Priest Tribal on Wednesday and Des Moines Area Saturday.
