The Iowa Central men were unable to overcome a slow start, falling to third-ranked Des Moines Area Sunday afternoon at Hodges Fieldhouse, 80-54.

Behind a 39-17 first half lead, the Bears were able to remain in control.

Zack Foulks led the Tritons with 13 points, while Ayris Abdelnassar added 12. Arthur Weston Jr. chipped in nine points and Jeremiah Hurst seven, with Andrew Gibb collecting a team-high six rebounds. 

Iowa Central is now 7-11 overall and 2-3 in the ICCAC, fifth overall. 

Next action for the Tritons will be on Wednesday when they travel to Mason City to meet North Iowa Area at 7:30 p.m.
