Iowa Central topped at Indian Hills

OTTUMWA - The 12th-ranked Indian Hills men used a 73-point second half to down Iowa Central here Saturday, 119-87.

After the Tritons (4-4 overall, 4-4 in ICCAC) took a lead into the break, the Warriors (7-1, 7-1) came out firing over the final two minutes.

Jaxon Smith led Iowa Central with 27 points, hitting six 3-pointers. The freshman from Ankeny also had six rebounds.

Jayden Stephens scored 19 points with four rebounds, two steals and two blocks, PJ Ngambi added 17 points and four assists, and Javonte Keck had 12 points. 

As a team, the Tritons knocked down 15 triples and shot nearly 46 percent from the field.

Tyem Freeman led all scorers with 29 points while Taj Anderson added 20 for Indian Hills, who has won seven in a row.

Iowa Central has scored over 80 points in five games this season. They return to action on Wednesday at Mason City to face NIACC.
