BOONE - The Iowa Central men pushed fifth-ranked Des Moines Area until the end here Wednesday night, coming up just short of pulling an upset, 91-83.
Javonte Keck had a monster game, scoring 30 points and grabbing 10 rebounds with three steals and three assists while PJ Ngambi recorded a double-double, scoring 16 points with 11 assists and just one turnover.
Uzo Dibiamaka had 15 points and Jaxon Smith added 14 for Iowa Central, which finished with 15 made 3-pointers, including eight by Keck.
Late in the first half, the Tritons were within four points and remained within six at the 12-minute mark of the game.
The Bears were able to put some room between them and Iowa Central late in the contest after leading 72-67 with just over six minutes to go.
The Tritons conclude the regular season on Saturday, hosting No. 20 Kirkwood at 7 p.m. inside Hodges Fieldhouse.
