On the opening night of the Great Western Shootout, the Iowa Central men dropped a 76-74 decision to Dakota County.

The Tritons (5-2 overall) were led by Bo Barber's 24 points while Josh Baker had another double-double, scoring 13 and grabbing 12 rebounds. 

Jordan Majeed had 14 points, four rebounds and three assists, and Javonte Keck added 11 points. Kevin Taylor had six points, six boards and four assists. 

The two teams battled to a 43-43 draw at the half. 

For Dakota County, Malik Spearman scored 19 and Manny Montgomery added 16.
