Iowa Central comes up short on the road

COLUMBUS, Neb. - The Iowa Central men's basketball team fell to Central-Columbus here Wednesday night, 80-62.

Jordan Majeed scored 15 points and Javonte Keck added 14 for the Tritons, who trailed by just one at the break. 

In the second half, though, the Raiders outscored Iowa Central, 40-23, as Tredyn Prososki had 12 of his 17 points. Jayden Byabato posted a game-high 21 with Kevin Cook adding 12.

Kyler Matthias had nine points with Kevin Taylor, Kael Stulo and Nick Black each chipping in six for the Tritons. Taylor had six rebounds and Keck four with three assists. 

Keck also moved closer to 1,000 career points, as the sophomore now has 993 in his career. 

Iowa Central returns to action on Saturday when they host Kirkwood at 3 p.m.
