MASON CITY — The Iowa Central men's basketball team placed five players in double figures as they earned an 87-83 victory over NIACC on Wednesday night.

Miles Fant led the Tritons (5-6 overall, 1-1 in the ICCAC) with 23 points. Fant was 10-for-11 from the floor and 3 of 3 from the charity stripe.

Fant added six rebounds and four assists.

Jamari Magee was next in line for Iowa Central with 15. Kevin Taylor (13), Mekhi Wilson (12) and Cole Tunender (10) also reached double digits.

The Tritons out rebounded the Trojans, 40-38. They were 12-for-22 from three-point range, while shooting 57 percent from the field.

Myles Tucker and Jacques Kelly led the Trojans with 19 points each. Jaylin Dunlap contributed 16, while Jeremiah Babers chipped in 10.

The Tritons are back in action on Saturday when they host Ellsworth. Tip is set for 3 p.m.
