NORFOLK, Neb. — The Iowa Central men kicked off 2023 with a win, topping Northeast here Wednesday night, 75-66.

The victory was the third straight for the Tritons (8-7 overall), who closed out 2022 with wins over Minnesota West and Riverland on the road. 

Darius Henderson led four players in double figures with 18 points, while Kevin Taylor had a double-double, scoring 13 with 14 rebounds. Taylor also had four assists, two steals and a pair of blocked shots. 

Isaac Besh knocked down four 3-pointers and finished with 16 points, while Miles Fant had 12 and six boards. Jamari Magee dished out five assists and scored nine points for the Tritons.

Colin Storr scored 16 with 14 rebounds for Northeast. 

Iowa Central returns to the court Saturday when they host third-ranked Kirkwood at 3 p.m.
