Triton Men Win Close Contest at Northeast

Deuce Blake Led Tritons with 16 points in a close win over Northeast of Nebraska

NORFOLK, Neb. — The Iowa Central men held off a late Northeast rally, picking up a 75-73 victory here Wednesday night.

The Tritons (4-11 overall, 1-5 in ICCAC) have won three of four.

"We showed a lot of resolve and confidence," ICCC head coach Chad Helle said. "Even when things didn't go our way late, we were able to stay strong and come together.

"This was a big win for our guys."

Mekhi Wilson had 16 points with seven rebounds, Miles Fant added 15 and six, and Deuce Blake had 11 points. Riley Edwards chipped in nine points, Davioyn Gaston eight and Terrius Walker seven.

For the Hawks, Vincent Garrett scored 20 and Kamari Moore 16.

Up next for Iowa Central will be Kirkwood on Saturday inside Hodges Fieldhouse at 3 p.m.
