Triton Men Fall in First Contest With Western Iowa Tech

Chase Low had 9 points for the Tritons in a road game at WIT

SIOUX CITY — The Iowa Central men were unable to keep pace with Western Iowa Tech here Wednesday night, falling 77-62.

The Comets, who joined Region 11 in July, outscored the Tritons over the final 20 minutes, 45-34. They also competed in men's and women's soccer this past spring.

Miles Fant had 15 points and Mekhi Wilson 10 to lead Iowa Central, while Chase Low chipped in nine. Daviyon Gaston had nine rebounds and Randy Latham dished out five assists.

Jailyn Spears led Western Iowa Tech with 23 points while Latrel Davis added 16.

The Tritons are back in action this Saturday when they host 11th-ranked Iowa Lakes inside Hodges Fieldhouse at 3 p.m. The Lakers fell in overtime to Iowa Western last night, 90-89.
