CRESTON — The Iowa Central men were unable to keep pace with top-seed Des Moines Area here Saturday, falling in the Region XI quarterfinals, 104-83.
The Bears raced out to a 57-39 lead at the half as Trey Lewis scored a game-high 30 points, knocking down five 3-pointers while dishing out eight assists.
Angelo Winkel, a former Bishop Garrigan all-stater, added 10 points, five rebounds and three assists for the Bears.
For the Tritons, Miles Fant had 17 points with seven rebounds, Randy Latham added 15 points and Chase Low chipped in 12.
Iowa Central will see sophomores Deuce Blake, Mekhi Wilson, Jordan Fenderson and Fant move on.
