LANSING, Mich. — The Iowa Central men's bowling team picked up a pair of bronze medals here Saturday at the NJCAA Championships.

Led by third-place finisher Dawson Weber, the Tritons were only behind Rock Valley and Iowa Western.

For Rock Valley, it marked its fourth straight team title on the men's side.

Rock Valley's Tyler Keller and Connor Mooney finished first and second overall in the all-event standings, as Weber was right behind.

Easton Lee finished 49th and Cody Huinker was 53rd for Iowa Central.

Zachary Reeck tied for eighth in the singles event, with Lucas Segebart finishing 10th.

Weber and Lee finished 11th in doubles to pace Iowa Central.

"The sophomores are going to be greatly missed next year and every one of them was a vital part of our program for two years," ICCC head coach Gregg Haden said. "Each of them has a story behind their time here which will be remembered for years."

Iowa Central placed sixth in the women's standings as Rock Valley also claimed team honors. ICCAC rival Hawkeye was second, and Iowa Western finished third.

Anna Frahm was 14th in the all-event with Jade Wilcox finishing 23rd and Libby Leach 40th for the Tritons. Wilcox was 20th in the singles with Leach placing 21st and Frahm 23rd.

Kendra Huitt and Frahm were 12th in doubles.

"With an all-freshman team, our girls did an outstanding job," Haden said. "They had out the lay of the land without the guidance of any sophomores.

"They fought hard and will be ready for next year when they will be seasoned bowlers."
