Haley Hall Named Next Triton Head Bowling Coach
With current Triton Men's & Women's Bowling Head Coach Gregg Haden's recent retirement announcement, Iowa Central has named current Men's & Women's Bowling Assistant Coach, Haley Hall, to be his replacement beginning July 1, 2025.
"Haley has been a pillar of strength and consistency for our program and we're proud to announce that she will be promoted to the head coaching position," said Athletic Director, Kevin Twait. "She is an outstanding teacher of the game and is also a tremendous recruiter."
Under Haden, the Triton bowling program captured four national titles, with the men claiming gold in 2017 and 2019, and the women going back-to-back in 2020 and 2021. Twait knows the same success will continue with Hall leading the Tritons. "Haley has been Coach Haden's top assistant for many years and is more than ready to assume the responsibilities of guiding our men and women's bowling program," said Twait. "We will certainly miss the knowledge, experience, and passion that Coach Haden brought to our program, but are confident that student-athletes in our bowling program will continue to experience success both in the classroom and at the alley."
Coach Hall has been with Iowa Central since 2018 as an assistant coach with the Tritons. Originally from Lincoln, NE, Hall helped her high school team win three straight state championships before competing for Midland University. While at Midland, she won several collegiate tournaments and helped Midland finish third at the 2017 Intercollegiate Team Championships. She was named MVP of the 2017 ITCs and was given the Chris Stoehr Sportsmanship Award. Hall graduated from Midland in 2017 with an Exercise Science major and Psychology minor.
"Iowa Central has felt like home from the moment I stepped onto campus in 2018. I've learned so much the past seven seasons under Coach Haden and I'm looking forward to continuing to learn and grow in this new position," said Hall on her transition to head coach. "The success we have stems from the support from not only the athletic department, but everyone else on campus too. I have loved bowling for over 20 years and getting to develop student-athletes into not only better bowlers but also into better people is something that I'm grateful I get to do every single day."
