DIKE - Kyle Wille tied for second and the Iowa Central men's golf team finished third overall at the Hawkeye Invitational.
The event took place from the Fox Ridge Golf Club.
Wille fired a 1-under 71 to place a stroke behind JD Pollard from Kirkwood. The Eagles captured the team title with a 288, Des Moines Area was second with a 292 and Iowa Central had a 293.
"Friday was a really good day for us to kind of see where we are at in our region," ICCC head coach Kris Graewin said. "The top two schools of our region over the last few years were at this tournament and it showed us that we are able to compete with them and have the chances to beat them. Kirkwood and DMACC are great programs and they were just able to clip us. We had a slow start from Austin Erickson and Joe Forsting wasn't able to get many birdie opportunities to drop but they stayed with the plan and got into the clubhouse with solid rounds.
"I couldn't be happier for the round that Kyle Wille posted. He's been battling some nagging injuries all fall and was his preinjury self."
Justin Schipper was fourth for the Tritons with an even-par round of 72. Austin Erickson and Joe Forsting tied for 17th and Simon Mitchell was 26th.
