Christian Koffi had quite the debut for the Iowa Central men's soccer team Thursday, scoring three goals to help the Tritons claim a season-opening 4-1 victory over Metropolitan. The match took place at Rogers Sports Complex. 

Koffi knocked in the first two goals of the contest in the opening half to give Iowa Central (1-0 overall) a 2-0 advantage. After Metropolitan's Grant McClung cut into the deficit, Mauro Garretano made it 3-1 in favor of the Tritons with a goal to open the second half. 

In the final stages of the match, Koffi scored his third goal on an assist by Recardo Wleh. Both Matheus De Souza Luz and Ahmed Abdalla each added an assist. 

Iowa Central returns to the pitch on Saturday, August 24 when they host Lake Superior.
