The Iowa Central men's soccer team improved to 2-0 on the year this past weekend with a 10-0 victory over Lake Superior at Rogers Sports Complex.

After scoring three times in the first half, the Tritons sealed the win with seven goals in the second.

Matheus Sena Barbosa opened the scoring with a goal in the first 10 minutes off an assist from Christian Koffi. In the season opener, Koffi recorded a hat trick, and he would get himself a goal later in the match.

Jemali Zarnadze and Wilfried Houeto each added goals in the opening half, with Ahmed Abdalla, Alexander Dye, Juan Calderon Ramirez, Kalen Webb and Mauro Garretano each scoring once in the second. Houeto would add his second goal of the day during that time, as well.

Iowa Central hits the road for its next five matches, playing at Johnson County Friday, August 30 followed by dates at Kansas City-Kansas, St. Louis, Lincoln Land and Parkland. The Tritons return home on September 18 to face Iowa Western.
