WATERLOO - The Iowa Central men's soccer team came up short in their season debut here Monday, falling to Hawkeye, 4-2.

The Tritons (0-1 overall, 0-1 in ICCAC) scored the lone goal in the first half, taking a 1-0 lead at the break. The RedTails answered in the second half to earn the victory.

Christian Koffi had the first goal for Iowa Central with Jaheem Hayles finding the back of the net in the second half. 

For Hawkeye, Ade Sotoyinbo had two goals with Joe Baston and Keith Gakaka also recording scores.

The Tritons return to action Wednesday vs. Northeast at Rogers Sports Complex.
