Iowa Central handles Scott, 10-0

Just two days after coming up short vs. Hawkeye, the Iowa Central men's soccer team claimed a convincing 10-0 victory over Scott here Wednesday evening at Rogers Sports Complex.

Lucas Pollacchi had a first half hat trick to lead the way for the Tritons (2-1 overall). 

Kirubel Yerga, Henry Oleary and Bakari Mtende each had two goals, with Ombeni Mubake getting in on the scoring. 

"The guys kept our shape well, and besides the score, they tactically played well," Iowa Central head coach Pablo Rodriguez said. "We concentrated on doing the right thing."

Pollacchi had the first goal with Yerga making it 2-0 quickly in the opening 45 minutes. Pollacchi's second and third goals came around Mubake's, as Iowa Central led 5-0 at the break.

Oleary had two straight goals in the second half followed by great shots by Yerga and Mtende on back-to-back kicks. Kenet Lopez had a pair of assists.

Iowa Central will head to Waterloo to face John Wood on Saturday.
