WATERLOO - The Iowa Central men's soccer team picked up a 4-1 victory over John Wood here Saturday as part of the Hawkeye RedTail Invitational.

Kirubel Yerga found the back of the net twice with Kabasele Musengo and Lucas Pollacchi each adding a goal in the win for the Tritons (3-1 overall).

Kenet Lopez had an assist on the goal by Musengo to make it 1-0 and Bakari Mtende an assist on Yerga's first goal that made it 2-0.

"We played well tactically," Iowa Central head coach Pablo Rodriguez said. "We didn't finish plays as well as we should have, but it was a good win for the boys."

Since a tough 4-2 loss to Hawkeye, Iowa Central has posted back-to-back wins by a score of 14-1. 

Up next for the Tritons will be a date with Northeast on Tuesday in Nebraska.
