SPENCER - The Iowa Central men's soccer team once again gave Iowa Lakes everything they could handle.

The third-ranked Lakers scored a goal in the final stages of the second half, securing a 1-0 victory here on Tuesday.

In the final minute, Iowa Central (6-5-1 overall, 1-4 in ICCAC) had an opportunity to force overtime, but Iowa Lakes' (12-1-1, 4-0-1) defense was able to make the save.

Earlier this year, the Tritons dropped an overtime decision to the Lakers, 1-0, at Rogers Sports Complex. Iowa Central was coming off a 3-1 victory at Indian Hills over the weekend.

Next action for the Tritons will be Wednesday, October 13 when they host Marshalltown at 3 p.m.
