Pablo Rodriguez enters his fifth season as head coach with the Iowa Central men’s soccer team. Rodriguez spent his first six seasons with Iowa Central as an assistant coach.

He was born in Uruguay and moved to the United States at the age of eight. He started playing soccer in Uruguay at the age of six and continued to play after he arrived in the U.S. Raised in New Jersey, Rodriguez played most of his youth career for the Union Lancers where he played with American soccer legend and former national team captain Claudio Reyna. He also played with Greg Berhaulter, who is the current U.S. national team coach. While with the Lancers he traveled all over the world to play soccer in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Peru.

After graduation from Elizabeth High School in N.J., he received a scholarship to play at Tusculum College in Tennessee. At Tusculum he was an all-conference selection and played with many of today’s top college coaches. Rodriguez received a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Rutgers University. He also has his Iowa Coaching Authorization as well as his USSF Class “D” Coaching License.

Rodriguez lives in Fort Dodge with his wife, Laura, and daughter, Manuela.
