It has been a long and difficult season for student-athletes around the country. On Friday during the opening night of the sixth annual Midwest Cup, the Iowa Central swim team honored their sophomores.

Andrew Iverson, Anna Ridnour, Dalton Hammel, Dylan Jones, Gerard Ijspeert, Javier Santiago, Magali Mouton, Nathan Parkins, Shannon Murphy, Tjeerd Van Stein and Anthony Coudron were all given special recognition and a proper send-off from the Dodger pool, a place they spent several hours working over the years on their techniques. 

Iowa Central has its sights set on the upcoming NJCAA Championships, which will take place in Fort Pierce, Florida April 28-May 1. 

Swimming continues on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. with Barton and Southwestern Oregon joining the event virtually.
