Iowa Central silences Northwestern at the nets

ORANGE CITY - The Iowa Central men's tennis team scored a convincing 7-0 victory over Northwestern College here on Tuesday.

Zamani Moyo, Eduardo Valenca, Arthur Praud, Theo Devals, Nicholas Espinoza and Riku Sugiyama all had wins in singles while the same six paired up for doubles victories as well.

Moyo bested Brian Vandenberg in straight sets at No. 1 singles, 6-4, 6-3, with Valenca scoring a victory over David Bomgaars in the third-set super-tiebreaker. 

Praud, Devals, Espinoza and Sugiyama also won in straight sets, with Espinoza picking up a 6-0, 6-0 win.

Espinoza and Sugiyama won at No. 1 doubles, Devals and Moyo at the No. 2 spot and Praud and Valenca at No. 3. 

Iowa Central returns to action this weekend in Nebraska.
