Men's Tennis Routs Grandview, Improves to 4-0 on Season

Mens tennis wins over Grandview 9-0

The Iowa Central Men's Tennis Team improved their fall season record to 4-0 Friday with a win over the Vikings of Grandview University, 9-0.

In doubles, Triton duo Tadeo Missan and Caleb Peterson defeated Igor Theodorakopoulos and Dyaln Ramsay of Grandview 9-8. Derrick Namanya and Andrew Kunaka won the second doubles match 8-3. The Tritons Kevin Strand and Mariano Orsini Rodriguez won match three by default with no Grandview opponent.

The Tritons went 5-0 in singles with Kunaka victorious over Grandview's Theodorakopoulos in two sets – 6-4 and 6-1. Peterson came out on top with 6-1 and 6-0 sets over the Vikings' Enzo Naveda. Namanya won over Grandview's Ramsay 8-1, Tadeo Missan 8-1 over Abbot Haner and Orsini Rodriguez came out on top over Viking Zachary Wallace with sets of 6-1 and 6-0. Stand won by default for the Tritons in his singles match.

Up next for the Tritons are the ITA Regionals, hosted by Cowley County Community College in Arkansas, September 29-October 1.
