COUNCIL BLUFFS - The Iowa Central track and field program kicked off the postseason here on Sunday with the first day of the decathlon and heptathlon at the Region XI Championships.

After four events in the decathlon, Aries Scott sits in first place with 3,609 points while Nicola Paletti and Joel Muamba are fourth and fifth.

Scott placed first in the shot put, the high jump and the 400 with a second in the long jump. 

The 110 hurdles, discus, pole vault, javelin and 1500 will conclude the meet. 

Kiya Wulf is second in the heptathlon after four events. She has 2,434 points with the long jump, javelin and 800 to be completed on Monday.

Wulf won the 100 hurdles and was second in the high jump, shot put and third in the 200.

The rest of the Tritons will compete at regionals on Saturday and Sunday.
